Release Dates | Radio Play | Tekken 5| Party | Party | Party

Sorry this hasn't been updated for a while. We've just been fighting out the logistics of our single release and launch, Greco-Roman style. We've got them on the ropes. Waiting for the 3-Count. Keep your eyes peeled.

On that note we also have the Official release date. Dead Disco Dancer (or DDD) will now be released on September 7 2009. Anyone that has followed our progress from the very beginning will know that we were originally supposed to release in February, then march, then July, then August.

It's been a long time coming.

Once it's out well have a party. Then head into the studio to record the, as of yet, unknown single 2. Out for release in December..

Quite a lot has happened over the last few weeks but I can't remember most of them. I might get a camera, or a video camera, or an etch-a-sketch or something. Apparently if people are more interactive, other people feel more involved with the interactive people's lives.

Speaking of interactivity I just got the hang of twitter. Try and find me. My name is Tobias.

Sorry this post sucks a little. The next one will have pictures. Or maybe even video. Does anyone even read this?
If you do. Thanks.
Later.

Here is a message from our label "Deadly People" about just that.

"O.Children - Dead Disco Dancer Limited edition 7″

We’re only going to press 300 copies of the vinyl so it’s going to sell out rather quickly. Email us to be on waiting list.

Email us at info@deadlypeople.net with the subject “I want the O.Children 7″ and we’ll add you to the waiting list. As soon as we’ve pressed them we’ll send you a link to purchase. Once they’re gone, well they’re gone."

There you have it. Attack.

And We're Back!

Sorry no one has updated this in about 7 Months. We were busy developing our sound and signing record deals and much more. We will try and keep this as updated as we can (Past, Present and Future) from now on. Promise.

While on the subject of things that happened.

THIS HAPPENED:

11,000+ Views in 9 Days
Lots of people comparing me to Michael Jackson (implausible)
And a lot of hype that we can only try to live up to.

So that's our single. Along with 'Dead Eye Lover' and it's all going to be out in the end of July. More on that next post.

Memorable things that have happened in the last 7 months that made us forget about this blog (in no particular order):
-Recorded a single
-Isle of Wight Festival and the rad people we met.
-Record Deals and compiling the best A-Team ever.
-Dior Photoshoots.
-Hedi Slimane Photoshoots.
-Getting first ever radio play on Radio 1.
-Tobias Turning 21.
-Sleath turning 20something (A shroud of mystery covers him).
-Meeting Jeremy Clarkson and conversing about the time he threw a pen at Ian Hislop on "Have I got news for you".
-Killed the Scala
-Played some amazing shows. (Most packed. Some not so...)
-Became DJ champion party-starter types.
-Love.
-Lost Love.
-Lust.

Oh Yeah. We also kicked Sleath out of the band. Charlotte Church's LoverBro plays drums for us now:

See?

That's all I can remember for now. It's all fun and games. And no one's been hurt yet.

What have you been up to for the last 7 Months?

"They Deep Fry Everything!"

This was shot in Edingburgh sometime in September.
The Venue was called "Sneaky Pete's."

We played to about 6 people.
And we knew 4 of them.

Before we went on this couple were on the dance floor grinding away like their lives depended on it.
It was stomach-churningly mesmirising.

The woman I am dancing with turned out to be a Heroin addict that couldn't speak English or something.

The next day we played to just under 500 kids at Cabaret Voltaire.(big in the game vol.4) That was pretty fun. They wanted to tear Gauthier apart. He was loving it. Regardless of what he might say - He was loving it.

Here's the Video:

My First Band.

(aka: an insight into the mindset of a 14 year old trying to get laid.)

School days were terrible. Especially boarding school days. There was nothing to do. Only a practise room. So we started a metal band.

'Stabatha and the Minks' (My Idea)
Tobias "Tigerlilly Tinman" - Drums. Lead Vocals
Mark "Passion Possum" Pearson - Synth, Guitar
Anonymous - Guitar, Vocals

We were a Metal Jam Band. We made it all up on the spot.
We honestly thought we were going to be massive.

So anyway I just got an email from an anonymous old friend reminding me of this band. He also attached 2 recordings that we made in the practise room of our boarding school in Surrey. (big in the game. vol.3)

I honestly feel I have to share this with you.

We never did a show outside the school. Our only gig was a school talent show called 'RocSoc.' Basically everyone would cover 'Iris' by Goo Goo Dolls and American Hi-Fi's 'Another Perfect Day.' I'm not kidding. Everyone. And then they would get all the girls. It was a wining formula. We decided to do something different.

This was our setlist:

At Night
Corey Meets Pete
I Get Erection
(Turbonegro Cover. Satyricon Version.)
We actually had to change the lyrics to I get affection
Toxic (Britney Spears. Metal Version)
"for the ladies"

The next RocSoc I was in another band....
Covering American Hi Fi - 'Another Perfect Day'

My first ever band. 'Stabatha and The Minks.'
I'm feeling pretty nostalgic right now. I'll also write out the lyrics so everyone can see what a musical behemoth I am.

'At Night"

cat richards won't leave me alone
she's always hanging by the phone
i wish she would go away and die
leave me alone

at night
they only come out at night

when we go clubbing. yeah they'll be there.
only their fill us with fear
when we go clubbing we'll be prepared
cos we don't want 'em
they only come out

at night
they only come out at night

batman! batman! bat man!
save us from them. don't leave us alone

at night
they only come out at night

save us from them at night.

(i was a douche when i was 14)

O2 Part 2 - A Generic Email from Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys)

(big in the game. vol 2.)
(anybody know the song playing in the background? i've always wondered.)

"Dear Noisemaker,

Thanks for sending your demo! We get so many now that I only reply to the ones I like, and I like yours quite a bit. Unfortunately, we don't have room to add any more artists. We are a much smaller, more underground label than our name might suggest. It's getting harder and harder to survive in an age of corporate chain stores, file sharing and more and more cool music and labels when less and less people can afford to keep up with it all. So we do the best we can.

I hope you keep at it. If you haven't thought of this already, I'd highly recommend trying to save up some money and keep working this stuff yourself. That's how we started. If you do release anything else on CD, vinyl, or whatever, please send a copy. I'd love to hear it.

In the meantime, good luck with your work.

Don't give up,

Jello Biafra"

:(.

Oh Jello. I bet you say that to all the girls....
